Chapter 111 - I'm E.N.G.A.G.E.D --> and how did it happen?

This is my 111th post thus far and today marks 11.1.2017. In celebrating this special day, allow me to pen down my feelings on what happened on 31 December 2016. Do note that this is going to be a lengthy post ya.

The memories are still alive in my mind, recapping what happened on that night. The 3 minutes or should I say, 1 minute decision made at that moment has totally changed my life now. Instead of holding a boyfriend and girlfriend status, the man whom I know for 8 years now has become someone important in my life.

That day.. it all happened starting at 6.00pm. He came to pick me up from my house and off, we headed to Sunway Pyramid. It was a normal routine like how other couples celebrated their anniversary or a New Year Eve. Traffic was good on that day and we talked quite a lot in the car, having our last precious conversations before ushering the New Year.

We checked in and had our dinner at 7.30pm at a Japanese restaurant. Nothing special on that day except that he kept checking the time and replying messages while our conversation flowed like water in the waterfalls.

Then, he had a minor stomach discomfort so, we quickly made our way back to the room. And then he stepped out to collect my anniversary present. At that time, my phone were buzzing with nonstop New Year messages and wishes so, it did not come to my mind that he was out for quite a while already. And then, someone knocked the door. I was stunned for a minute because I was not sure whether I heard it wrongly or not; it could not be him since he had the access card. The knock then came again.

This time, I pulled my courage and opened the door. The minute when I saw his sister in front of the room, my mind went blank. I was asked to put on my shoes and I was led out to collect my so-called anniversary present. Along the way, I was greeted by his friends (who is also my friend). Each of them carried a board, illustrating the journey that he and I have had from the way we met to the proposal day. I did not think much but my inner voice was screaming “what is he doing now?”..At some point, I gave myself a scare where I was kind of afraid that he would ask me on the details of each photo in which I couldn’t remember some, honestly. Haha.

My steps became quicker then, wanting to answer my curiosity. I made my way until I was at the villa. After that, steps became smaller and my heart was beating slightly faster. I had no idea what to expect or what should I do. I just followed the flow and made my steps into the villa. I was overwhelmed when I saw a path, nicely decorated with petal of roses and it led me to where he stood.

The first thing that came out from my mouth was like “Are you crazy?” Haha! I couldn’t believe that these three words spilled out from my mouth within seconds but I was really nervous. I did not know what I was crapping actually. Soon, the idea of proposal hit me strongly. Looking around and seeing all of his friends were there made me agitated and I couldn’t stop smiling.

I was given a bouquet of flowers and a present for my anniversary present. The living room in the villa was nicely decorated with balloons everywhere and trust me, I totally fallen in love with it.

I asked myself within that split second “what did I do to get all these?” Before I had the answer, he started his speech. He was nervous for sure yet, he began to illustrate the story one by one, covering the ups and downs that we had faced. And the proposal speech became so beautiful when there was a background song on “You are my everything” sang by Gummy (favorite song of mine since the airing of Descendant of the Sun).#songjoongkijustappearedoutofnowhere

I was really touched yet at the same time, I was like playing around with him, giving me a buffer time to at least calm down. I am not going to deny this but I nearly teared especially when he said that “Life is going to be meaningless without me” Haha. Am I that important?

Everything happened just like a lightning. A minute later, the sentence ”Will you marry me” was shown on the window once the curtain was pulled to the side. I seriously lost my words; I lost my words to say yes since there were so many people around us so, what I did was kind of a foolish (when I think back) – I began with my unglam speech. Bet that many including him were nervous when I did that! No one expected me to give speech and I did, just because I was not able to immediately agree to his proposal.
Eventually, of course, I gave a yes answer to this man.

A man whom I first met during our Children Camp 4 celebration at a bbq session where I argued with him on the benefits of pursuing Bachelor of Business Administration, a man who showered me with lots of chocolates and ice cream, a man who would come to rescue whenever I had problems dealing with my car issue and a man whom love me on who I am, cherish me and treasure me.

Yes, he is the man whom I look forward to start a new chapter of our lives together.
Our journey is about to begin and I look forward to holding his hands for many, many years to come.

Ultimately, the proposal was perfectly done on that day, thanks to all friends who came and helped Mr Raymond Chee for this special event.

Ps: This is a lengthy post about my feeling on that day and I will post our photos in the next blog post. Stay tuned!

Chapter 41 – Dine in Thai Thai restaurant, Sunway Pyramid

“It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them,” by Ralph Waldo Emerson.

This ring so true; recently, my (ex) roommate came all the way from Johor to Sunway Pyramid and it was one of the rare opportunities for it to happen. I was certainly very excited to meet her considering that we have not met each other for years. We have planned to meet up for ages but time is always the factor that causes us to delay our meet up.

Having not met her for years, I had mixed feelings on that day itself; excited, nervous and curious – at one point, I was quite agitated too.

“The greatest gift of life is friendship, and I have received it,” by Hubert H. Humphrey

We had our dinner at Thai Thai restaurant. It is a conceptual cafĂ© and Thai fusion restaurant that accords diners an experience that is captivating both to the palate and the eyes.  As it is a Thai restaurant, it offers a plethora of Thai dishes including Tom Yum soup. It is also a great way for one to pick up some Thai words as it is translated in the menu itself.

Food that accompanied us on that day was:

Tom Yum Soup (Mushroom and Vegetables)
Hot and spicy, that’s the taste to illustrate the soup. It was so awesome to have the first sip but soon, the spiciness started to burn our taste buds; we then quickly opted for Chinese tea as a healing beverage to recover our taste buds.

Spicy Tofu with Basil Leaves
Aiks! We overlooked this. Aside from ordering the hot and spicy Tom Yum soup, we opted for Spicy Tofu with Basil Leaves. That means we had ALL spicy food on that day itself! Nonetheless, we enjoyed the spiciness since our tolerance towards spicy food were pretty high.

While we had our food, our mouths were busy updating one another about each life. In a blink of our eyes, the waiter had to stop our never-ending conversation since the restaurant was about to close. Alas, as much as we wanted to continue chatting, time never seem to be enough.

Indeed, it was a blessing in disguise that she came over to Sunway Pyramid. Though we spent about 3 – 4 hours there, we appreciate and cherish the moments when we get together.

Thai Thai restaurant is located at OB.1D & G1.135 (Ground Floor, Sunway Pyramid)

Chapter 31 - Coffee Roast Malaysia @ Sunway Pyramid

Hello everybahday!!! Time certainly flies especially when we are all in the festive mood. Even, my shopping mood has now turned on! I am getting more aggressive now to shop for Christmas presents and I always feel that it is so hard to decide what to get for another party.

I have been travelling to Mid Valley, hoping to get one item at least but unfortunately, with tons of promotions and discounts in every shop, I failed to get one. Even, when I headed to Sunway Pyramid, it occurred to me too. Probably, I am a bit "yim chim (cerewet) hence, I went to Jusco to look for that "mystery" item.

Even so, I came back home empty-handed. =( So, I decided to shop again in Sunway Pyramid and I still shopped with disappointment. Hence, I stopped by at Coffee Roast Malaysia to clear my mind by getting Green Tea Coolist and a Salted Caramel Cheese Cake.

Green Tea Coolist @ RM 13.00
The taste is very familiar and I can associate it with  Frappuccino in Starbucks - one thing that I really like about this drink is that it is really refreshing and it is not as sweet as the Green Tea Frappuccino in Starbucks.
Salted Caramel Cheese Cake @ RM 13.00
To complement a green cup of tea, I ordered Salted Caramel Cheese Cake - look at the tempting nuts. In every bite, I could feel that the cheese melts on its own in my mouth. The taste of the cheese is really strong and I actually enjoy every single bit of it. It is very "thick" in taste and even, texture!

After having that, I was totally geared up and continued my shopping trail! And guess what - I managed to get at least 1 item in Sunway Pyramid! =) Hooray..
