Chapter 88 - Great weekend with Descendant of The Sun

Curiosity kicked in when I came across the news about how Korean drama has brought such a huge impact to someone's life especially in China. And the Korean dramas that is being highlighted is "Descendant of The Sun".

On last Friday night, I thought of having a me-time after having dinner with my friend in a Korean restaurant. After I washed up, I googled for this Korean drama and thereafter, I saw myself watching the first episode. Instantly, I got hooked up with this Korean drama - It managed to drag me into this whole Korean fictional romance yet exciting story. I immersed deeply and ensured that I watched all the episodes that have been aired till today.

But seriously..Though I am a fan of Lee Min-Ho, he didn't manage to pull me into the Korean fantasy world. Unlike this drama, it did. Somehow, I have to give credit to the Korean Entertainment industry - this Korean drama is filmed with the right angle, combining with the right music that enliven the whole story line.

Few factors that I found out about this Korean drama that may have won the heart of many are:

1. The story line
Though the drama is now up to Episode 8 only, the scriptwriter has done a brilliant work. We may have watched tons of dramas or movies where featured occupations like doctors, lawyers, businessmen and etc but how often do we see the story line between a soldier and a doctor? I am not sure about the rest but I find that this story is a bit unique in a way as compared to other Korean dramas.

2. The main actor - Song Joongki (acts as Captain Yoo Si-Jin)
I got to know him (I mean his name) when my sister told me that he was with Running Man before this. After that, he had to join the military service for 2 years which leads to my point that he is the right person to portray this character. With his experience that he had during the 2 years, it helps him to bring out the character in a better way.

3. The artistic way of filming
This time, I realized that the director is good in terms of catching the close shot rather than a broad shot as the overall. The expression of the actors and actresses' eyes are being highlighted clearly, demonstrating the emotions of theirs in that particular scenario. Words are unspoken but the conversation is issued via the eyes - what's more when it goes aligned with the songs that play perfectly with the flow.

Oh well, this is merely my perspective only - there is no right and wrong. Up till now, I have to wait patiently for every 2 episodes to be released on Friday. Now, I hope time flies...Haha!

Till then, Happy Sunday!

Regards,
