Chapter 20 - Mille Crepes @ Nadeje, Mahkota Parade

When one thinks of Malacca, the first thing that comes to mind is Jonker Street! Having said that, my family decided to have a food hunt in Malacca on a random Saturday and we loaded our tummy with tons of satisfying good food. Instead of indulge the usual Chicken Rice Ball, we had Klebang Coconut Shake which is a must-to have especially under the scorching hot sun, Durian Cendol awaits at the corner of Jonker Street, snack on the popular Satay Celup and many more! Not only that, durian lovers like myself would not miss the Durian Puffs that is located along the Jonker Street.

One of the must-eat food in my list is also the finest handmade Mille Crepes, from Nadeje located in Mahkota Parade. It took us a while to find that place as there weren't a way for a person to go to that shop without coming out from Mahkota Parade mall - in short, Nadeje is situated right beside KFC,  facing the main road.

As we heard good comments about Nadeje Mille Crepes, we decided to go there at 11.45pm. In this early hour, the place had already flocked with crowd - therefore, we chose to sit outside the shop though it was quite hot at that time.

Browsed the menu for the first time, we had a tough time, deciding the flavors of Mille Crepes!

Original slice (RM 9.50)
It seems like a norm for tourists alike (like us) to order one! This cake is the origin of Nadeje Mille Crepe. The aromatic smell from Tahitian Vanilla Beans, the custard crepe and mixed with fresh cream was just soft enough, to allow the fork to cut it - the cake itself was very firm to hold its shape which allowed one to enjoy the full taste of the Mille Crepe.

Cafe Mocha Slice (RM 9.50)
One of my favorite Mille Crepes was Cafe Mocha cake! With the combination of coffee and chocolate, this cake melted in one's mouth! Plus, the chocolate chips in the cake has truly enhanced the flavor and aroma of this cake.

Strawberry Chocolate slice (RM 9.50)
We were actually in a dilemma of getting Strawberry Chocolate or Banana Chocolate cake - considering that we can get a slice of Banana Chocolate in Secret Recipe, we then opted for their Strawberry Chocolate cake. With three happy colors of Red of strawberry, Black of chocolate crepe and White of fresh cream, this was just a simple, lovely design of Mille Crepe.

The strawberries weren't sour at all!

.
Mango Yoghurt (RM 9.50)
Besides durian, Mango is my next favorite fruit! The cake was simply nice with moderately sweet. A perfect combination of mango puree, yoghurt and cheese, the taste itself lingered the tastebuds. How I wish that I could have a few slices of mango to complement it?

GOOD news to share with you! Instead of travelling all way to Malacca, you can now enjoy the same quality on its fresh ingredients and finest handmade Mille Crepe at PJ. See below addresses for your next food hunt!
