Chapter 10 - Happy Mid-Autumn Festival 2012

A memorable festive season!
Under a bright full moon;
Snack with mooncakes and a pot of hot tea;
Laughter, joy and happiness

That's the meaning of mid-autumn festival 2012. This year, we went with a different twist by trying out the mooncakes in RT Pastry House. Known for the best pastry in the town, every single stuff (bread, pastries, cakes) is baked from scratch everyday without preservatives & artificial ingredients. As they uphold on the vision in serving best quality breads, pastries and cakes, this applies to their mooncakes too.

Serving 9 mini mooncakes in a box, each cake brings their own distinct flavours. They are White Lotus Paste, Black Sesame Paste, Ginseng Qi Zi Paste, Pandan Paste, Honey Longan Paste, Golden Corn Paste, Pu Er Tea Paste, Pure Lotus Paste and Six Coarse Grains Paste. To bring the exquisite flavour, each mooncake is complemented with an egg yolk.

Best for gift purposes, the mooncakes can only last for 2 weeks. I personally love it though it is slightly pricey because:-

a. It is not as sweet as other mooncakes
b. It carries the traditional taste and also, a unique fusion taste that can trigger your appetite
c. It comes in a right size (meaning you would not "jelak" eating them)
