Chapter 9 - Have you eaten "Yu Mee"?

You get it right! No spelling error on the name but it is called the "Yu Mee". Unlike the Yee Mee ( a type of yellow brownish noodle), Yu Mee is actual made from flour. Using the same technique to do "Mi Hun Kueh and Pan Mee", Yu Mee has the texture with the average size and length of a yellow mee.

You can choose to either dine in a soup based or a soy sauce based. My favourite is always the soy sauce based as you can really experience the texture of the noodles and also, taste the freshness of the ingredients.

This time around, I had the "Dry Soy Sauce Yu Mee" in one of the kopitiams in Taman Eng Ann for my breakfast. The tangy, springy noodles excite my taste buds and I believe it is not as fattening compared to other noodles. Such ingredients that complemented the noodles are fresh greenies, a bowl of fishballs, a spoon of minced meat, sprinkle of anchovies and slices of pork.
A reasonable serving and it is just priced RM 3. 80 (Small).

Come and try out the Yu Mee that is situated in:-

Restaurant Yin Shi
Taman Eng Ann,
Near to A1 Tuition Centre and 99 market
