Chapter 3 - Chicken Rice @ Restaurant Taman Berkeley

During weekends, most Klang-rians will head for their favourite Bat Kut Teh for breakfast. This even implies to some people from different states like PJ, Subang and many more. Talking about bat kut teh, everyone has their own preference and judgment on which one is the best, nevertheless, my favourite is always the "Sei Ngan Zai" shop which is located opposite Maybank, Klang.

For this time round, I went on a special mission to try the chicken rice in Taman Berkeley. Many people have claimed that they sell one of the best chicken rice - so, no harm for me try them=).

Situated at the corner shop, the fragrance of the rice itself welcomed the passers-by to stop. As this was my first time there with my beloved family, I ordered a plate of chicken rice with additional roast pork.

We were served within split seconds though many people chose to take away their chicken rice. To me, the rice plays a very important role to a good chicken rice. A spoonful of rice into the mouth made my eyes twinkle. Freshly served and unique taste are the best words to describe it.

The chicken was served in a reasonable individual portion and I must say that the chicken is superb. The meat is smooth and the texture is just nice for anyone. As you take a bite on it, you can feel the succulent, juicy meat which I loved it very much.

Next up is the char siew. For pork enthusiasts, you must be loving this dish. A perfect blend of fat layer and lean meat, heavily coated with the thick sauce goes perfectly well with the rice. Adding to that, the char siew comes with a little hint of sweetness.

End the meal with a hot, piping radish soup and this made a perfect breakfast..Oops, it should be brunch by then.
