Chapter 2 - Poco Homemade, Bangsar

One of my closed girlfriends had longed to visit Poco Homemade after her thorough research in the net. On last Sunday, the 4 girls of mine decided to pay a visit there. Hunting this place for quite some time, unknowing where we were, finally, we saw this shop located at a serene, quiet place. We hardly see anyone and we took a sneak peek in.

The shop was indeed quite small. Compared to other cafes and restaurants, Poco Homemade has only 6 tables (3 for 4 pax seats and another 3 for 2 seats). We sat down quietly and asked the lady on what was their highlights. Surprisingly, we were only introduced with 4 main dishes and the desserts.

According to the lady which I believe she is the boss, that their desserts are the highlight of the cafe. Without hesitant, we made our order.

In Poco Homemade, everyone has to order a drink, so, I got myself a ice lemon tea.

Service was quite slow, probably, the boss is the one who deals with everything. She is the waitress, the cashier, the cook and the cleaner which marks up on why she hardly smiles to her customers.

HOMEMADE TOFU CAKE! Pretty neutral taste and a very soft texture! I would suggest to share this slice of cake with your friends in order to "feel" and taste the cake. Otherwise, you might easily get bored with the neutral taste which eventually affect your judgment on this.

Next up, PISTACHIO CAKE! Honestly, I love this cake. Not creamy and not that sweet. The taste is perfect for all walks of life. Fluffy in texture and comes in a reasonable portion.

I believe I will make my next round to Poco Homemade to try out their Pecan Cheese Cake. All in all, Poco Homemade is located at 1, Lorong Kurau, Taman Bukit Pantai, Bangsar, 59100 Kuala Lumpur.
