Chapter 101 - Shan Yuan Chinese Cuisine, Kota Damansara

Thanks to my working place and colleagues, I was introduced to this place, Shan Yuan Chinese Cuisine. Sharing the building with Visiber, this Chinese restaurant serves a wide array of great food. For Chinese, this seems to be the place for them to have a meeting or gathering. And myself, I have been to this place for like good 2 to 3 times.

Recently, they launched a campaign whereby a bowl of Buddha Jump over the Wall costs only RM 9.90 with the condition that you have to "like" their Facebook page and share it in your Facebook page. As simple as that! So now, you see why I get to enjoy this bowl of Buddha Jump over the Wall even during my lunch instead of dinner.

Buddha Jump over the Wall (RM 9.90 per bowl)
This bowl of soup is delicious and rich in taste. Comes with pork bones, a large mushroom, scallop, fish maw and a mini abalone, this bowl of soup certainly whet one's appetite before having the main dish.
Stir Fried Rice Noodles with Prawn (RM 16.00)
Look at the photo itself!. Prawns are huge in size and a plate of this noodles is just nice for 2 to 3 persons. Simple in presentation and authentic in taste. Personally, I prefer an extra kick on the spiciness level hence, I have this noodles with some chilli padi which gives a punch to my tastebuds.
Fish Eggs Siew Mai (RM 7.00)
Quite pricey for a basket of dim sum that has only 3 siew mai. Nevertheless, these dim sum do not fail us as the siew mais are really fresh, giving the chewy texture to the diners.
Steamed Bun with Salted Egg Yolk (RM 6.00)
My friend strongly recommends this dish because apparently, the pastry chef has returned and he is really good with this. Therefore, upon my next visit to Shan Yuan Chinese Cuisine, I ordered a small steamer basket of Steamed Bun with Salted Egg Yolk. Woah-la, soft in texture yet hot in inner. The hot, steaming egg yolk seems to be eager to challenge our taste buds and trust me, this is really, really good.
A better angle on how the bun looks like after you bite it.

In total, the bill came up to RM 56.90 (including 6% GST and 10% service charge) for 2 pax.

Ambient : 7 / 10 (cause sometimes it can be quite noisy)
