Chapter 25 : Krabi Trip (Day 1)

When comes to holiday, who would ever say it's boring? If you would, it means you are just a weirdo who do not know how to appreciate the beauty of the place (haha!). Having said that, in July 2013, I had the opportunity to visit Krabi which is located in Thailand with few of my friends. Before I headed there, many commented that it was a good and  nice place nonetheless, some did tell me that the place had been ruined due to Tsunami. Regardless what it is, I had bought my flight ticket and I headed there no matter what!

Lady luck was not with us throughout the whole trip because it rained nearly every hour. This definitely obstructed our plan to walk around the city and we had to carry an umbrella everywhere we go - it was very troublesome indeed!! Despite all that, we enjoyed walking under the rain and walked for about 3km, just to have MCD!!!

The assigned chauffeur throughout our trip was Mr Chaiya Taraporn - great services given though he had difficulty conversing to us. Upon our arrival, Mr Chaiya brought us to the travel agency, knowing we had not plan anything for our 3 days and 2 nights trip.
Once we had selected our package and made payment, we headed to hotel to freshen up. The chosen hotel was Srisukhant Resort, facing right opposite the beautiful beach. As the clock ticked at 4pm and our tummy were in deep hunger, we had some snacks that bought from 7-11.
Thereafter, bestie and I contacted our friends to meet up as it was about time to have dinner. And how could one miss to ride on their famous public transport called Tut-Tut?
Since hunting for good food was our top priority, we made an extra effort of getting the Tut-Tut driver to drive us to Ruan Thip restaurant. Flipping through the menu, I was kind of disappointed because I couldn't find the local Thai main dish which is Tomyam. Nevertheless, the menu itself gave us a spot on answer on what to order and I must say that we made the right decision!
Fish Pancake with Thai Sauce (120 baht)
Fried Fish with Soy Sauce
Fried Smoked Dry Pork Leg (260 baht)
Ruan Thip Spicy Salad (100 baht)
Green Curry with Chicken (100 baht)

Once we were done with our dinner, the plan to walk around Krabi town failed. Most of the shops closed at about 10pm (Malaysia time: 9pm) and therefore, we walked to 7-11 again.

Soon after, we walked back to our hotel considering that there weren't much to do at night and decided to rest early since Day 2 would be a challenging yet adventurous day!

So, stay tune to what's next in Day 2 yeah.
